Concept on Communicative tool:
Communicative tool is a technological tool that encompasses a range of digital platforms and devices that facilitate the exchange of information and ideas. This includes the use of the internet, email, social media, video conferencing, and instant messaging applications, which enable real-time communication across vast distances. These tools have transformed traditional communication by allowing for instant, efficient, and multimedia-rich interactions. Social media platforms and messaging apps have made it easier to share updates, ideas, and multimedia content with a global audience, fostering a more connected world. Additionally, ICT tools such as collaborative software (e.g., Google Classroom and Microsoft Office 365) and cloud services support teamwork by allowing multiple users to work on documents simultaneously from different locations. Overall, ICT as a communicative tool enhances the reach, efficiency, and interactivity of communication, supporting a more interconnected and collaborative global society.
Reflection or writeup for the communicative tool:
Among all the Communicative tool, we tried with google classroom. It is an innovative educational platform designed to streamline the process of teaching and learning by integrating various digital tools and resources. The platform is designed to enhance collaboration and organization in the classroom. Teachers can post announcements, create assignments, and schedule quizzes, all of which are easily accessible to students through a user-friendly interface. Students can submit their work online, participate in discussions, and receive instant feedback, which promotes continuous learning and improvement.
Steps to create Google Classroom:
- Go to the Google Classroom website and sign in with google account.
- Click on the "+" icon in the top right corner and select "Create class".
- Enter a class name, section and subject in the Google Classroom.
- Click on "create" to create the class.
- Then after creating the class, click on the "classwork" tab to create weekly plans.
- For that, click on the "classwork" tab, then click on the "+" button and select the "material"
- Enter the details for the reading material, such as title and description, then uploaded the pdf on chapter 1 .
- I made a ppt on chapter 1 and saved it in the file.
- Coming back to the Google Classroom, click on the "Add" button and select "file" and the click on "upload."
- Then click on "Post" button to make the reading material available for the students.
- To insert videos, Click on "create" and select "material." Then enter the material details and click on the "Link" button to add a video from YouTube.
- To give assignments, click on the "classwork" tab.
- Select the week and Click on "+" button and select "Quiz assignment."
- Enter title and instructions for the quiz, and click on "Add" button to add questions to the quiz.
- Before assigning the questions, customize the setting for the quiz such as due date, time limit and whether students can see their scores immediately or at a later time.
- Click on "Assign" button to assign the quiz to the students.
